  Abstract:  The Theology in University. An orthodox point of view. The school was born in the Church and following an ascendant trend she was developed to the modern world universities. The idea of Bishop Nicolae Colan of Cluj to build a cathedral and to organize an Orthodox Theological Faculty in the University of Cluj was a premise of the dialogue between theology and culture in the University. Following the tradition of Metropolit Saguna, Bihop Nicolae wanted to create well instructed priests able to lead the people to salvation but, well prepared to equally entering in dialogue with world. The Theological Institute founded in 1924 was one of the best from country until his suppressing by the communist regime. Reopened in 1990, as an Institute and from 1992 as Faculty is present included in the “Babeş-Bolyai” University of Cluj. The dialogue between theology and culture present in our modern Universities has an important historical precedent in the antique dialogue between the theology and philosophy. The pluralism of sciences present in the University represents the occasion for theology to engage a real dialogue with philosophy, science for become a confessional and a living theology.
